Mohican Adventure

Our camping trip went without a hitch. It was sunny & warm with no rain. We setup camp on a site located riverside where the Clearfork & Blackfork rivers converge to form the Mohican River about 2 miles south of Loudonville, Ohio at River Run Family Campground. The site had electric which allowed for additional creature comforts such as DVD videos & video games (late night). What was even better was how my son helped me in setting up the tent, filling the air mattress & setting out the sleeping bags. In 30 minutes, we had the makings of a camp set up.

Along with a hot roaring fire, roasting marshmallows, and visiting the local go-kart track, the two days at Mohican was a truly memorable trip spending time with my son.

Over the next two days we took a trip down the Mohican River on individual kayaks.
Slowly paddling downstream in the cool shallow waters on a sunny afternoon was relaxing and a great way to spend an afternoon. We took time to race each other at the local go-kart track where my son tried his best to show he could out drive dad.

We also enjoyed shooting billiards & playing video games at the camp general store and fishing at the campsite.

All in all, it was a great trip which we'll soon repeat again this summer.
