According to the Old Farmers Almanac, today is the first day of Fall. Hints of color are beginning to show around Licking county. Goldenrod is in full yellow attire and squirrels are busily stocking up for the approaching cold weather ahead. Now that the heat wave is in it's waning days, cooler temps are in the near forecast for the weekend.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has setup a weekly fall update page to keep track of where peak colors occur so you can enjoy the changing seasons. Check out their page at: http://www.dnr.state.oh.us/tabid/9584/default.aspx
