Finally the weather broke enough to break out the bike. Tuesday March 13th was a cool morning ride to work (42 degrees), but at least the ride home was great. Felt good to ride home 1st time this season with the temps in the mid 70s and sunny. Riding home I could feel the stress of the day melt away as the pavement called to ride on. Must have passed at least a dozen other bikers on the way home and everyone waved their approval of the great riding conditions. Finally got my cycle pics from my brother who took them this past fall. The Kawasaki Vulcan 750 is an awesome first bike. Reliable, lots of low-end torque, and lots of power when needed. Rides nicely at 85mph with lots of throttle left to push.
Went and saw the movie "Wild Hogs". Absolutely hilarious! Was nice touch at the end of the movie seeing Peter Fonda making a cameo appearance. As a 40-something guy, I could see lots of similarities to my life, especially compared to the role of William Macy. I think the near future holds a few road trips. Definitely a whole new way to see the Midwest. Will post upcoming road trips and bike pics.
