Another chapter

Tonight the group of folks I've been blessed to sing with met for the last time as "The Voices of Highest Praise". Our members, Eric & Robin Hill, Todd & Pam George, Elaine Robertson, Jacque LaRue, Kenneth Ray, and myself got together tonight to enjoy coffee, pumpkin pie, and each others fellowship at Tee Jays. It was a great time of catching up on each other's lives and sharing with one another.

Most of all from tonight's meeting, I've come to realize this is one more chapter in my life of how I've been blessed by those closest to me. The Voices of Highest Praise have been a family for five (5) years. We've practiced, worshipped, and ministered together as a family. We've had our moments of doubt & concerns, minor differences, and lots of laughs, but we've had many wonderful moments that every family share. What separates us from most families is we all come from different backgrounds, upbringings, beliefs, and values, but our purpose and goal as a family was to serve the Lord together with the wonderful talents he has blessed each of us with.

I thank the Lord that I've been blessed to be a part of this family. They've shouldered my pain with me. They've prayed with me and for me. Robin's patience with me as the director of our group was beyond belief in helping me to read music and sing notes correctly. And finally, our time in practices were times of worship & personal ministering that few will ever experience or know, as a family. To be blessed by the specific music we shared, was moving and inspiring. In years past, my wife Tina and I sang in Church choirs, Holiday programs, and more, but my experiences singing with the Voices of Highest Praise is one I'll remember and will leave a lasting impression.

I am especially thankful to Eric & Robin for opening their home to us to practice. Most of all I thank God above my life has been enriched by the blessings of serving Him with this group of awesome people whose goals were for a common purpose: to serve God by reaching out to our community through song, praise, and worship. To the "Voices of Highest Praise", Thank you!!
