Vacation

Finally......I'm on vacation.
No plans to speak of except to take advantage of my free time and put some miles on the bike. So I did. Started day out at 8:30am and saddled up along with my son Jericho and took off for Cappacino at the River Road coffee house. After finishing off the newspaper and my coffee, we rode back to the house for our jackets, which we thought we wouldn't need.

After that we headed north on St. Rt 13 thru Vanatta, St. Louisville, and into Utica. From there we turned east onto St. Rt 62 and traveled to Martinsburg where we picked up 541 East. 541 has lots of sweping turns, some twisties, and a couple long straight stretches where you can see for miles and really open up the bike to top speed. We traveled all the way to Coshocton where we stopped for a quick bite to eat and then briefly toured Roscoe Village and took a look at a couple shops, the blacksmith barn and where a restored canal boat resides. By this time the temps were in the 70s and we peeled the jackets and stowed them away.

From there we traveled back east on St. Rt. 16
to Hanover, Marne, and then back into Newark.
magazine, along with a book on Digital photography and Taekwondo. To top it all off, myThis afternoon I put the AC unit in the bedroom window, pulled some weeds in the garden, and took the kids to the library where I was able to pickup the last two issues of Cycle World son had a baseball game (they lost) and my daughter Paige had a softball game (they lost).

All in all, not a bad way to start a vacation ;)
