The Renaissance of Art in Ohio

For the last several years I've come to see a revival of an old art form in and around Ohio. Outdoor building murals are popping up everywhere you look around Ohio. In my own hometown of Newark, Ohio, there are several that have become tourist draws for both locals and out-of-towners.

Usually they are about something that represents local history or specific moments of time from that particular area. Some of the murals are very vivid and colorful, while others are of duo-tone or tri-tone color palettes. Never the less, they have an appeal that draws the attention of young and old, myself included.

I've since come to the realization that I now have a project to capture this new medium in it's infancy before it quickly fades like so many things that give way to progress.

Stay tuned for updates regarding my exciting new project regarding this entire subject.
