Traveling Nomad style

Welcome to Downtown Newark mural-Newark, OH
It's been a busy summer with my business and family life, and now working on my new mural project.

After much research online, I've traveled all over Ohio on Sunday afternoons trying to capture to camera the wonderful murals and art learned of.

Traveling solo by motorcycle has proven to be beneficial in allowing me flexibility in access to specific areas and to get in and out quickly if need be.
Also, doing this on Sundays frees me from dealing with commuter traffic and allows me to travel a slower pace and enjoy the ride. It's been quite enjoyable to not have to fight with heavy commuter traffic, nor dealing with vehicles parked in some cases in front of the wonderful works of art.

The hardest part isn't finding murals and interesting art, it's finding their exact location in the towns I'm visiting. Fortunately Google maps has simplified the task by allowing me to do street level navigation and look around before even leaving my home. Once I have a general idea where a mural is located, I then can enter the address into Google maps and narrow down the search from there. It' has proven to be a great tool, but sometimes the information displayed on Google maps hasn't been updated in a couple years. Therefore if new murals have been created, they won't show, so it's also important to determine when the mural were created.
