My biggest largemouth bass ever..

OK, I'm a believer! Mr. Engard has been ribbing me about all the fish he & Jennifer have been catching recently, so to shut me up, he invited me, Paige, and Jericho out to the pond fishing Friday morning. Weather was clear, sunny, about 85 degrees around 9:30AM that morning and the fishing conditions were good. In 3 hours of fishing, between Mr. Engard, Paige and myself, we caught 15 Largemouth Bass. Pictured here is GM Engard holding the 18.5" inch 4.5lb. bass I caught around 10:30am. Took it in about 6 ft of water with an electric blue plastic worm with sparkles in it rigged weedless with a couple of small split shot about 2 ft above the worm. Took about 5 minutes to land this fish. To finish the day, I landed a 2lb bass on my last cast of the morning before leaving.

All in all a very good day fishing. Paige caught her first bass, about 7"inches long on a white inline spinner, and then followed up a short while later catching another bass around 1.5lbs in size (see below). All together we caught 15 bass. I believe Paige caught 5 bass, Mr. Engard 1, and 9 bass myself. Matter of fact, the very first cast I made that morning, I caught a small bass.

Would have been nice if Jericho caught something, but maybe he will next time. He did get several nice hits, but no takers.
Gotta love pond fishing in the spring!!
